To me, India is a place of total and complete contradiction in every way. The exact feeling I took away from my trip to INDIA is depicted in the photograph that says PLEASE PUT YOUR SHOES OFF HERE side by side with PLEASE DO NOT PUT YOUR SHOES OFF HERE! The seemingly terrible I found happiness and the seemingly abundant I found misery. You can stay in the most beautiful places and palaces in India, such as the Amar Villas in Agra near the Taj Mahal, yet just outside is the worst possible poverty. I managed to find the beauty in the extraordinary circumstances that are India. The two friends playing with a pebble really conveyed a lot of life in India to me. The beautiful maids of Jodpur working so hard, the chaotic Jaipur that once was so beautiful, the happy children in the midst of unbearable circumstances. You want to give to them, but you cannot as they say it only promotes the problem. I found the WISDOM rocks just in time, as it was starting to really get to me. The history of India and the amazing richness of the Rajasthan region is so full of history and life barely scratched the surface.
